EDI/Integration Developer
Join us at Hultafors Group as an EDI/Integration Developer, and build reliable B2B integrations with our customers and partners across our ERP/WMS solutions and help improving how the world works.
Are you an Integration Developer who is passionate about building robust integrations that empower global operations—and help improve how the world works—we got the perfect opportunity for you.
The position
As an Integration Developer, you will play a key role in building the digital backbone of Hultafors Group. You will be part of a team that is designing, developing, and maintaining integrations and ensure that data flows reliably and efficiently across our global landscape between our internal systems and with our external customers and partners.
This role will primarily focus on the development of B2B integrations, and you will be working hands-on with setting up and maintaining reliable EDI integrations mainly between our ERP and WMS solutions and our external customers and partners. You will need to be familiar with EDIFACT standards and especially the messages related to invoicing and order management. If you have prior experience from working with Peppol, that’s an advantage.
This is a hands‑on technical role with strong ownership of both development and operational stability. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, operations teams, external customers, and integration partners.
If you enjoy solving complex technical problems, optimizing system landscapes, and enabling high‑performing digital processes, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain and support integrations across core business systems and external partners.
Implement integrations on our iCore Integration platform using file‑based interfaces (EDI, XML, JSON, CSV), as well as Peppol, APIs, messaging, and modern integration patterns.
Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure consistent and accurate data flows.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues and incidents, including root cause analysis and long‑term corrective actions.
Act as a second‑ and third‑line expert for integration‑related issues, supporting service desk and application teams.
Analyse recurring incidents, identify problems, and implement improvements to increase system stability.
Monitor integration platforms and data flows, ensuring performance, availability, and error handling meet SLAs.
Contribute to integration architecture decisions, standards, and reusable components.
Create and maintain documentation: interface specifications, design descriptions, technical guidelines.
Collaborate with application owners, business analysts, architects, and external partners to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Support testing activities (unit, integration, system, user acceptance) and participate in controlled releases.
Continuously improve integration solutions through automation, performance tuning, and scalability enhancements.
Your profile
We believe you combine strong technical expertise with a structured and solution‑oriented way of working. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and enjoy working in a collaborative, international environment.
Background & Experience
You likely have:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
3–5+ years as an Integration Developer / Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role in a business‑critical environment.
Experience supporting integrations in production, including investigating and resolving incidents.
Hands‑on experience with integration/middleware platforms and related tools. Previous experience from working with iCore’s integration platform is a strong benefit.
Strong understanding of file‑based interfaces and EDIFACT standards, (EDI, XML, JSON, CSV), especially the messages related to orders and invoices, e.g. ORDERS, ORDRSP, INVOIC and INVRPT. Experience from Peppol, working with API’s, Azure Logic Apps and/or web services is a plus, but not required.
Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, and working across heterogeneous systems.
Competence in scripting or programming languages relevant to integration development.
SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
It is beneficial if you are familiar with CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
Awareness of security requirements and compliance considerations in integration work.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident/problem/change management.
Personal Competencies
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills—ability to understand and work with complex system landscapes.
Ownership and accountability for stability, quality, and long‑term maintainability.
Customer and service mindset—clear communication and proactive follow‑up.
Excellent collaboration skills across business, IT, and vendor teams.
Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Adaptability—quick to learn new tools and technologies.
Strong planning and prioritization skills, balancing development and operational tasks.
