Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Location: Gothenburg
Join us as our new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Are you an experienced security professional with a passion for enabling business value through modern information and cyber security?
We are looking for a pragmatic and business-oriented Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join Hultafors Group and play a key role in strengthening and shaping our group-wide security capabilities for the future.
As CISO, you will work across both business and IT, driving governance, risk and security initiatives in an international environment where collaboration, structure and long-term thinking are key.
You will be part of an organization with strong ambitions and an ongoing journey towards a more modern, scalable and secure digital landscape.
The Opportunity
In this pivotal role, you will lead and coordinate the information and cyber security agenda across Hultafors Group. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, architects, infrastructure teams and external partners to ensure that security capabilities support both operational excellence and future business growth.
You will be responsible for driving and evolving the group-wide security strategy, governance model and security roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities, risk appetite and ongoing technology initiatives.
The role combines strategic leadership with a pragmatic and hands-on approach. You will continuously strengthen the organization’s security posture while ensuring that security becomes a natural and integrated part of both business and technology initiatives — without creating unnecessary complexity or friction.
This is a highly visible and influential role where you will have the opportunity to shape ways of working, influence decision-making and build long-term security capabilities across an international group environment.
Main Responsibilities
• Define, maintain and communicate the group-wide information and cyber security strategy, vision and roadmap.
• Drive governance, risk and compliance initiatives across the organization.
• Lead the development and lifecycle management of security policies, standards and guidelines.
• Own and continuously improve the enterprise security risk framework and security maturity assessments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and engineering teams to embed security by-design principles across initiatives and platforms.
• Oversee vulnerability management, incident response and security monitoring capabilities.
• Coordinate supplier, partner and cloud security assessments.
• Drive security awareness, training initiatives and executive-level reporting.
• Support leadership teams in prioritization and decision-making related to information and cyber security.
• Ensure that security initiatives are aligned with both business goals and operational realities.
About You
We believe you have several years of experience in information security, cyber security, governance or risk management. You also have a strong ability to operate in complex, business-oriented environments. You likely bring experience from leading cross-functional initiatives and working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. We also believe you have experience within several of the following areas:
• Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
• Security frameworks and security governance
• Cloud security and modern infrastructure environments
• Security operations and incident management
• Supplier and third-party security
• Security architecture and security-by-design principles
• Executive communication and stakeholder management
• Budget Management
• Relevant academic degree or equivalent experience.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or ISO27001 are considered highly valuable. Experience from international organizations and/or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
What We Offer
• Competitive salary and benefits package.
• Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
• A collaborative and inclusive work environment characterized by Trust, Collaboration and Drive.
• An international work environment.
• An opportunity to contribute to Hultafors Group reaching the vision: “improving how the world works”.
